Are Online Friendships as Real as Offline Ones?

This is a question that commonly arises between online friends; and as I have seen, we can’t have a single opinion on this topic. Because it really depends on how you treat each other. I have seen friendships that lasted for a lifetime, while on the other hand there were some that lasted only 3 months.

                Online friendships can be the most delicate of all. One misunderstanding and everything’s gone. You really need to take care of what to say, how you react and how much attention you pay to what they are saying. This problem gets intense on texting. A simple text can have multiple different meanings. And once misunderstanding happens, it gets really difficult to explain yourself. In online friendships, you can’t make real in-person memories, and that means you’ll run out of topics to talk about after some time that is usually around 3 months as I have seen.
 
                But the most cases in which I have seen the upper scenarios are in the case of male-female and female-female friendships. Male-male friendships tend to last much longer than others. So it’s controversial to think if they are real friends or not.
 
                Lastly, it all depends on you and the other person, it depends on your behavior, sparing time etc. So just try to give enough time to your online friends.
