Artificial Intelligence: Taking Away jobs ?

If we look up on the internet there are multiple discussions about AI(Artificial Intelligence) taking away jobs and creating mass unemployment; But to what extent this is true?

There are multiple instances of mass lay-offs and people who have worked for even 5+ years being thrown out like nothing. According to multiple news sources there is a job recession among recent years that has set-up a fear among youth.

But let's be real; as i have noticed job recession has always been there, it is just that it wasn't as much visible as it is now. AI do has created some inconvenience to the job-seekers by taking away some specific sectors of jobs that were previously done by humans; but that has in turn has eased the work of many.

People who just focus on degree instead of building skills alongside, commonly face issues like this. Just getting a degree by cramming the concepts isn't going to help you in the real world, instead it pushes you back. There are many students who pass with top-notch grade but lack at basic programming skills, and thinking this will secure them a good job is pure delusion.

What we need to focus on is building our skills alongside our college studies, because companies are much more interested in what we can understand instead of what we can cram.

So for those who have just awakened:

There is still enough time if you start building yourself today, doesn't matter at which stage you are, all that matters is pure consistency and determination.
